yeah! it's not super integral to clem's concept, it's just what her family does. they specialize in redwoods and also do other trees in the NorCal area. it's totally reasonable to assume there are at LEAST two suppliers of wood to wandmakers in north america lmao. they're not on the same coast or even in the same country.
